Arrived at the Darlington Point Riverside Caravan Park on the Murrumbidgee River 30 kms south of Griffith...on the Kidman Way

In 1866 a punt was purchased for use at the Darlington Point-Waddai crossing...the owner was Jacob Adams previously publican of the Darlington Inn..the punt was said to be the largest in the colony with the capacity to carry 1700 sheep in one trip!! This bridge was the original crossing for the river and now forms the entrance to the caravan park!
The Punt Hotel replaced the Riverina in 1881...

Also a businessman from Griffiths has started a zoo...his ambition and travels the world sourcing good blood lines for the zoo!!

You can do a 2 and a half hour horse drawn coach ride around the grounds!!
