Buck sits out the front and has a chat to her....
On the road and goats galore......

Lots of kids with their mums!!!!Had a stop at Bourke after crossing the border into NSW but the caravan park didn't have a site suitable so we ventured onto Cobar.....stay for a couple of nights...temperature is a lot cooler although expecting 20 today and the sky has cleared since yesterday .....back to blue again!!!

Church and pub....
Great lot of history with the first copper mine and now there are 3 gold mines in the area....

Not sure I would have been as keen to do the washing in the old days.....

They have a model of a mineshaft set up in the cellar.... made to size with equipment from the bygone era....

This was a railway carriage that took a nurse around to remote areas.....

The nurse had her bath and toilet and kitchen area and a screen door at either end of the carriage......classic!
A place to tend the patients.....

Down off the railway platform and onto the treasures outside.....a charcoal cooler...

Host of old mining equipment and a Coach house with Fire engine and buggy....

Then the piece de resistance...... what is it...they leave you guessing until you go to the desk and tell them what you think it is.....I guessed a place for salting meat...which is right but it is called a "Drovers Pantry" food was stored in it for use when you couldn't get back to the homestead....I marvelled at the fact it hadn't been destroyed or burnt for a warm fire!!!!

Off to Mount Hope in the morning......
